We don’t do off-the-peg. There’s no fixed running order to squeeze into and no “this is how we always do it.” From the moment you enquire, we build your day around you: how you want to feel, what you want to eat, where you want to say your vows and how late you want to dance.
Whether you’re dreaming of a relaxed long-table feast, a candlelit evening in The Orangery or a morning-after brunch with everyone still in their slippers, we’ll shape every detail with you, so the finished day feels like no one else’s.
YOUR OWN PRIVATE CHEF
Your wedding food should taste like a celebration of you. Your own private chef will work with you to create a menu that’s entirely yours. It could be a favourite dish from your first date, a nod to where you’re both from, or simply the best of Scottish seasonal produce, beautifully cooked and served just for your guests.
Your private chef is included with your wedding; food is charged according to the menu you choose.

Celebrate your way, with your choice of drinks. Your private bar is yours for the whole celebration: your favourite fizz, the whisky that means something, the gin your best friend won’t stop talking about. No other parties at the bar, no queueing behind strangers. Just your people, raising a glass.

Big enough for everyone who matters, small enough that you’ll actually speak to them all. Exclusive-use weddings welcome up to 50 guests, the perfect size for a celebration that feels warm, personal and full of real conversation.
STAY TOGETHER, WAKE UP TOGETHER
The best weddings don’t end when the music stops. With accommodation for up to 30 adults and 5 children across the 4 acres, your nearest and dearest can stay on site, so no one has to rush for a taxi, and everyone wakes up to that view.

The Orangery – our light-filled wedding venue for ceremonies, dining and dancing
Yurt Bramble, Yurt Heather & Yurt Foxglove – romantic couples-only yurts, each with its own soak or wood-fired hot tub
Lorry Juniper – our characterful, dog and child-friendly lorry, with its own wood-fired hot tub and sitooterie

What does exclusive use include?
Your wedding includes exclusive use of Alexander House, The Orangery, Yurt Bramble, Yurt Heather, Yurt Foxglove, Lorry Juniper and all 4 acres of grounds. There are no other weddings or guests on site.
How do I see the prices?
Just click on any of the gold circles on a date on the availablity calendar, enter your number of guests, and the pricing will appear.
How many guests can attend an exclusive-use wedding?
Up to 50 guests.
How many guests can stay overnight?
Up to 30 adults and 5 children across Alexander House, The Orangery, Yurts Bramble, Heather and Foxglove, and Lorry Juniper.
Is catering included?
Every exclusive-use wedding has its own private chef, who will create a personalised menu with you. The cost of the food depends on the menu you choose.
Is there a bar?
Yes, you’ll have your own private bar, stocked with your choice of drinks. The cost of the drinks depends on your personal choices.
Can we personalise our wedding day?
Absolutely. Every wedding is utterly bespoke. We design each celebration around the couple, with no fixed format.
Can children and dogs come?
Children are very welcome, with space for up to 5 children to stay on site. We welcome 4 dogs in the main house, and Lorry Juniper is dog and child-friendly; Yurts Bramble, Heather & Foxglove are couples-only.
How far is Alexander House from Edinburgh, Glasgow & Dundee, Stirling & Perth?
Around an hour’s drive from Edinbrugh, Glasgow & Dundee, 20 minutes from Stirling & Perth. Around 2 Hours from Inverness & Aberdeen.
Do you offer smaller celebrations?
Yes. We also offer glamping elopements and vow renewals, which are intimate celebrations that aren’t exclusive use of the whole site.
We offer you a very warmest of Scottish welcomes to this truly magical place. With simply astounding views of an ever changing landscape and skyline, somehow our location just captures your heart. Our guests often say they feel that they’ve left a little piece of themselves here at Alexander House when they depart, just so they can come back again!
