Located 2.5 miles from Auchterarder and the world-famous Gleneagles Hotel & Golf Course, Alexander House sits proudly in the Perthshire Hills. In every direction there is a breathtaking picture postcard backdrop to the perfect wedding day.

We offer you a very warmest of Scottish welcomes to this truly magical place. With simply astounding views of an ever changing landscape and skyline, somehow our location just captures your heart. Our guests often say they feel that they’ve left a little piece of themselves here at Alexander House when they depart, just so they can come back again.

This has always been a place to rest, recharge and celebrate success and happy occasions, especially for the tired drovers coming over the back hill from Edinburgh on their way to and from from selling their cattle in Stirling and Perth, stopping to stay in the old steading, and we are sure they enjoyed more than just a glass of the amber nectar, as there was an illicit still just over the hill at one of the waterfalls!

This magical house was rebuilt in 2009, to be shared, and enjoyed, and has been a place full of laughter and family gatherings, and with something for all ages, it is your very own home from home, to celebrate a wonderfully special moment in your life.

Alexander House is set high on the side of the Ochil Hills, with simply spectacular views overlooking Gleneagles, and the golf courses below us, across to the Sidlaw Hills in the West, Perth and the Highlands to the East, and North across Auchterarder, and the whole of Strathallan to Crieff and the Sma’ Glen, the Gateway to the Highlands.
